Black Eyeliner Is Sooo Last Year

If you're anything like me, you can't even begin to count how many black eyeliners you buy in a month, let alone a year. First, there's the eyeliners in my bathroom (one that I use and the other for when I run out). There's the one in my makeup bag for my purse. And then there's one tucked somewhere in my gym bag. Oh, and also the one I just discovered in the back of my jean pocket. Safe to say I have a pretty major addiction. It's something I can't live without and something I rarely leave the house without wearing or toting along with me. And I know for a fact that I am not alone.

All those guilty of being black-eyeliner-dependent can agree that while we'll never give it up completely, it can still get a little boring from time to time. This couldn't be more true than when I saw Elle Fanning's recent photos from Comic-Con: A gorgeous yellow eyeliner lined around her inner eyelid screamed out to me, "Your black eyeliner game is so basic!" And it was right! Just like a colored lipstick, a bright and bold eyeliner can change your entire look. It can add character to an ordinary ensemble and edge to your usual makeup routine.
