Curious as to why Charlie Hunnam missed out on the Sons of Anarchy panel over at Comic-Con in San Diego this year, despite this being the show's last season? Well, rest assured: It was a good reason. Totally understandable, good reasons: and he filmed a lovely little video message as proof! In a clip viewed at the Sons of Anarchy Comic-Con panel, Charlie Hunnam explained why he couldn't be present — while also receiving a massage and a manicure.
Like I said: Totally understandable, good reasons.
The clip, which was directed by Sons of Anarchy executive producer Paris Barclay, featured the former Christian Grey laying face down on a massage table as he explains (in his delightful English accept) how utterly sad he is to miss the show's last appearance at Comic-Con. It's a fitting scene, because Hunnam really had to miss the panel because he was stuck on the east coast doing a photoshoot for Vogue, like the fancy pants he apparently is in real life.
It's a hilarious clip, that was apparently quite well-received at Comic-Con despite Hunnam's absence. a 2-minute clip of Hunnam getting a massage is better than no Hunnam, right? Exactly.
Luckily, though, you don't need to be at Comic-Con to see it — check it out below.
