Check Out Maroon 5's New Album Cover

Not even a wedding over the weekend can slow Adam Levine down for long. Levine and Behati Prinsloo got married over the weekend in a ceremony that was officiated by Jonah Hill (who knew?), but now that the work week has begun then Levine is back to all business. His first order of business was revealing the cover and track list for Maroon 5's next album, entitled V, from which the single "Maps" has already been released. Maroon 5 announced the cover from their official Twitter with a link to the press release for V as provided to Billboard.

"Bringing it all back home, V features the return of M5's original keyboardist Jesse Carmichael to the fold," read the news bite. "Maroon 5's latest provides a sonic summation of the group's journey to date — capturing the essence of the earliest M5 hits through to their most recent successes, as well as providing a picture of its artistic growth into the future."

Of course, those who had been hoping that this "essence of the earliest M5 hits" might mean that V would be a return to the sound of the band back in their Songs About Jane era have already been disappointed by the release of "Maps", which sounded more in line with their more recent hits than anything else. However, the press release does promise that perhaps some of the other songs on the new album might provide some satisfaction to fans longing for the good old days — or, at the very least, some closure.

Of particular interest on the album is a collaboration with Gwen Stefani, who, like Levine, was the face of a band that only diehard fans can name the other members of. The duet was written by Sia and is called "My Heart is Open" and nothing else is known about it at this point, except that Levine was very excited to get to work with Stefani on the track. Between the album cover, which harkens comparisons to It Won't Be Soon Before Long's cover, and the promise of a Gwen Stefani duet, then there seems to be a little bit of everything for Maroon 5 fans that came in at all stages of their career.
