Brad & Angie Are Doing Another Film Together
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas morning. Universal recently announced Brad Pitt and his ladylove Angelina Jolie will co-star in the upcoming film By the Sea, which Jolie actually wrote and plans to direct. The actress will also produce the movie alongside fiancé Pitt, in addition to his production company, Plan B Entertainment.
This will mark the first time the two have appeared onscreen together since 2005’s Mr. and Mrs. Smith, which, if you recall, was actually the movie that which they met on the set of. But, By the Sea won’t be an action thriller — the plot actually hasn't been revealed, but we know it's going to at least be "experimental." Back in May, Jolie told Extra:
It’s not a big movie, not an action movie. It’s the kind of movie we both love but aren't often cast in. It’s a very experimental, independent type film where we get to just be actors together and be really raw and open and try things.
Translation: Bring tissues.
Even if Brangelina isn't taking out an entire warehouse of assassins whilst donning some epic clothes, or escaping a mini-van full of would-be killers, we’re willing to bet that fans will still line up to see the power couple in a a movie together; if only to swoon over Angelina’s perfection.
Universal released a statement commending Jolie for her "extraordinary storytelling abilities behind the camera," and added:
Angelina and Brad represent two of Hollywood’s brightest talents and we are excited to be a part of their collaboration on this powerful piece.
Mr. and Mrs. Smith brought us Brangelina (and the horrible Team Aniston/Team Jolie fiasco), who knows what By the Sea could bring. Anyone else hearing wedding bells?
