Big news for at least one CW reboot success (sorry, Carrie Diaries ): According to Deadline, The CW has renewed Whose Line Is It Anyway for a third season that will premiere sometime next year. This is huge news for the series, considering it's a reboot that's managed to maintain consistently good ratings on a network like The CW (which, for context, doesn't exactly pull in ratings that are anything like the ones other network stations can pull in).
While there's no word on when the third season will premiere on The CW next year, it has been confirmed that featured players Ryan Stiles, Wayne Brady and Colin Mochrie will all be returning, as well as the perpetually awesome girlcrush of the hour, Aisha Tyler. Score! We wouldn't have it any other way.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the new season will consist of 24 half-hour episodes, and it doesn't look like the network will be planning to make any major changes to the format of the episodes. Which is good news, considering the show is just fine the way it is — nothing good ever comes of tampering with something that isn't broken.
Yay!
