Emma's a Little Early With Her (Fab) Fall Fashion
There's a fine line (actually, it's a huge gap) between my love for warm, sunny springtime weather and my dislike for oppressive, sticky summertime heat. And the same goes for each respective season's required wardrobe: I adore the sweet spring sundresses and cute rompers I get to flounce around in come April and May, but feel a much smaller appreciation for the simple shorts and boring tank tops I inevitably throw on come July and August simply to try to escape the horrible heat.
Though I realize the problem probably lies in my summer style laziness, it's an understatement to say that I'm often overjoyed when the first cool, crisp air comes breezing in for fall, encouraging me to transition into my cool-weather wardrobe at the earliest possible opportunity. And though I’d like to think that the always-gorgeous Emma Stone simply shares my love of fall style (because that would totally make us soul sisters or something, right?), she may be just a wee bit early in bringing her fall ensembles out to play both on and off the red carpet.
After Stone arrived to film The Late Show With David Letterman on Wednesday in a midi-length dress and leather jacket (on a July day in New York!), the actress hit the red carpet for her new film Magic In The Moonlight in a a fall-ready, floral-print Dolce & Gabbana number on Thursday evening.
Featuring long sleeves; a fitted (and all covered up) bodice; and an ankle-length, pleated skirt, the dress's flowery pattern wasn't nearly enough to keep this look from feeling like a fall ensemble — granted, a really fabulous fall ensemble. Finishing the look with lace-up, nude Dolce & Gabbana heels and much longer locks, Stone was still an undeniable beauty in her slightly off-season outfit.
And Stone wasn't alone in her fall attire. Even handsome boyfriend and Spider-Man co-star Andrew Garfield was spotted by her side wearing a very No-Shave November, scruffy beard with his dark charcoal suit. So even if Stone is bringing out her cool-weather looks a little early, at least her man is joining in with her fashion choices, too. And that, in my eyes, is true love.
