You Don't Have to Wear These During Your Period
Good news for women who suffer from particularly heavy and painful periods (or those who are just tired of throwing out cute underwear because of embarrassing stains): THINX stain-resistant underwear is made to wear specifically during your time of the month, and it's now on the market. How has this not happened already?
Sisters Radha and Miki Agrawal and their friend Antonia Dunbar, who say they’ve had their fair share of experience dealing with terrible periods, created the underwear after finally getting fed up with the lack of existing period-appropriate lingerie in stores. So what exactly sets THINX apart from your average flower-printed hiphuggers? The underwear uses a patented four-layer technology, which they call “THINX Quadtech,” meant to help resist stains. While all that heavy protection may sound even more uncomfortable than wearing a bulky maxi pad, each of the layers are actually thin, breathable, and light enough to still look and feel like normal underwear. So far, the underwear is available in four different kinds of styles, including hiphuggers, cheekys, thongs, and luxe, a lacier option for the same level of protection in a sexier style. Though THINX is pricier than most underwear, ranging in price from $24 to $47 (yikes) depending on the style, it could be a worthwhile investment if you're the type to toss out a ruined pair of panties after each period. Plus, the startup has partnered with AFRIPads so that for every pair of underwear sold, seven reusable pads will be donated to a girl in the developing world.

While I'd prefer they were more straightforward and less euphemistic when talking about getting your period ("Sometimes you forget when a certain time is coming, or were not prepared when a time is here," the video says about menstruating), these undies seem cute and useful, and the video is pretty informational.
