It's official: According to E! Online, Nick Lachey and wife Vanessa Lachey are expecting a second child together. While this is exciting news and they deserve a ton of congratulations, I'd be remiss if I didn't point out that this announcement comes just a few days after Jessica Simpson married her longtime fiancé and father of her children Eric Johnson — like, literally 10 days after. After that whole strangely timed David Arquette engagement news leaked a few days after his ex-wife Courteney Cox announced her engagement, I can't help but feel a little suspicious that Lachey's news is coming similarly close to Simpson's recent wedding. Attempt to steal thunder, or just an oddly timed coincidence?
Anyway, that said: Congrats to the happy couple! Nick was the one to announce the news on his Twitter, with a photo of "It's a girl" drawn in sand at the beach along with it the tweet: "Can't think of a better way to celebrate 3 years of marriage to my beautiful @VanessaLachey than this! #family."
This will be the second child for the couple, who have been married since 2011: Their first child, Camden, was born in 2012. As for when baby no. 2 will arrive — the couple didn't reveal how long Vanessa is in her pregnancy, but considering they already know the gender, that should reveal something.
