The lifestyle site Blake Lively has been talking about for months finally got a launch date — and it's sooner than you might think. E! News reports that Blake Lively's website is launching next week and will be called "Preserve." Why must these sites sound like they're about a jar of jelly? (GOOP? Preserve?) Anyway, it's not about fruit preserves. Reportedly, it will be an online marketplace focused on telling stories. The source tells E!,
Preserve will focus on artisans and products, many hand-made one-of-a-kind items all selected by Blake. Items will be available for purchase through the site. Preserve is all about story-telling through video. Blake will be in some of these videos.
Sounds similar to Lauren Conrad's The Little Market project, where she teams up with artisan groups across the globe to showcase and sell their handmade goods. But regardless, any project that supports artists around the world is a great thing. Too bad Taylor Swift's needlepoints won't be available on Lively's site. Although they certainly are handmade and one-of-a-kind.
