Just when everything is finally settled between Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga on Real Housewives of New Jersey , a new feud might be forming to replace theirs. New cast member Amber Marchese held a fall harvest party in the season premiere, and rather than reconnecting with her old friend Melissa Gorga like she hoped, their relationship might have gotten even worse. It was because of Melissa that the other Housewives veterans attended the party, as Melissa and Amber had been friends in their 20s, who drifted apart after Melissa got married. Also at the party were two other new cast members, twins Nicole Napolitano and Teresa Aprea. So it came as a bit of a surprise when Melissa and Amber, old friends with no noticeable issues, were the ones who got into a disagreement.
Since the two had grown apart, Amber had battled breast cancer, and at the time of the party, was nearing her five year anniversary of being cancer-free. Amber pulled Melissa aside at the party to tell her that she was hoping they could repair their formerly close relationship, but first, she wanted to know what exactly happened, and where Melissa was during her cancer battle. Melissa was immediately taken aback, and asked what Amber was talking about.
The conversation never turned into a full-on fight, but both women were clearly upset. Amber claimed that Melissa had sent her a Facebook message when she had cancer, saying that she was there if Amber needed her. Melissa didn't seem to remember sending the message, and maintained that she was never aware of Amber's cancer. By the time the party ended, Melissa was upset that Amber was accusing her of knowing about the cancer and not doing more than sending a Facebook message, and Amber was upset that Melissa denied all of it.
Could this become the next Housewives feud? It's unlikely that this conversation alone will cause an argument to rival Melissa's past with Teresa, but with a complex history and one disagreement already, Melissa and Amber aren't on a good path. However based on the preview for the rest of the season, Amber might be too busy fighting with everyone else to let her not-quite-fight with Melissa escalate.
In just a few minutes, the preview shows Amber fighting with Dina Manzo, Nicole Napolitano, and Teresa Aprea. Apparently, her husband also works with the attorney prosecuting the Giuidices, so a fight with Teresa can't be too far away.
It's going to be quite a season, even for this show.
