News alert: Cara Delevingne might be officially making the plunge into singing. Maybe she's been feeling super inspired by all the music festivals she's been going to lately or perhaps she just wants to add another title to her resume (model to actress to musician seems to be a natural progression, no?). According to Vogue, Delevingne is reportedly being signed on to Simon Cowell's SyCo music label and has even been taken under '80s pop star Sinitta's wing.
Here's how the rumors started: Cara Delevingne was spotted leaving Cowell's London office earlier this year. Then, suspicions were further confirmed when Cowell's friend and fellow X Factor mentor Sinitta confessed that she was working with the model/actress. In an interview with The Evening Standard, when asked if she was working with Delevingne on pursuing a music career, Sinitta said,"It's a top-secret project and it's true that I'm helping her as a mentor." Although Sinitta couldn't comment further, it seems pretty likely that we'll be hearing Delevingne croon on her own album in the future.
While this all may seem pretty shocking, this actually isn't Delevingne's first foray into singing. You may recall that the model showed off her incredibly soulful chops when she sang on Will Heard's track "Sonnentanz' (Sun Don't Shine)."
She was also spotted harmonizing with music giants Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran in an acoustic version of The Knife's "Hearbeats." Although nothing is for certain, one thing's for sure: Delevingne could definitely hold her own as a singer.
