More Vacation Inspiration From 'PLL' Stars

TV and real-life BFFs Shay Mitchell and Ashley Benson have had quite the week. While third little liar Troian Bellisario was vacationing at a lake house with her fiancé in Canada, and fourth little liar Lucy Hale has been on a whirlwind trip across our nation as part of her Road Between tour, Mitchell and Benson have been spending their summer hiatus living quite the high life in the Pacific. Their island getaway looks almost unreal in terms of its off the charts glam quotient and surprisingly high level of carefully documented fun (and that's scientific).

The first half of their very covetable vacation included on-point airport style (ahem, monogrammed passport holders and Louis Vuitton luggage), delicious drinks on the beach, model-esque IG selfies, and good ol' fashioned triangle top bikinis in the surf. The second half of their trip featured much of the same (especially in the selfie department), but with a few added star-worthy turns.

Basically, their dreamy vacation looked like a lot of fun — so without further ado, here are a few Shay and Ashley-approved tips on getting the most (and I mean, the most) out of your week at the beach:

1. A pedicure with your best friend is always in order...

...no matter how sandy you plan on getting! Shay and Ashley's bright white/hot pink toes are each perfect for summer; it just depends on what look you're going for. Your nails can celebrate the season as well in Essie's 'Summer 2014' box set:

2. Go silly with your selfies

It's hard to say whether Benson's concerned expression or Mitchell's ever-so-slightly-dorky reflection wins in this snap. Also, if you love Ashley Benson's mirrored lenses as much as I do, why not go classic with a pair of Ray-Ban aviators?

3. Good eats are key

Crustaceans and seared fish fillet on a bed of arugula? Now, that's what I call island fun!

4. And don't forget dessert!

This melange of desserts is almost too much to handle — and you can get a dose of this deliciousness by making your own mini chocolate tarts. Yum!

5. Extreme sports are a must

Looks like Mitchell's enjoying this half pipe with the help of a pulley! Combine skateboarding PLL-style with the trend of the moment with an adorable Penny Board:

Oh, and if skateboarding isn't your thing, maybe paddleboarding is — the girls also took some paddleboarding lessons during their week in Hawaii:

6. Never turn down an opportunity to ride in a helicopter

7. Who said you can't wear black for summer?

Black doesn't have to be relegated to fall and winter. As evidenced here by Ashley Benson, it can also make for great beachwear, too! Maxis are always nice for summer, and this ModCloth number is a lot of fun:
