A Small 'Parent Trap' Reunion Has Occured

Millennials across the U.S. were recently greeted with the news that childhood classic and Lindsay Lohan-introducer The Parent Trap would be establishing a residency over on Netflix Instant Play. It was news that brought many emotions, most of them mild "maybe I'll watch that if I can't sleep tomorrow" emotions and sweeping nostalgia. And now, as if destiny's intervened, there's been a small Parent Trap reunion for us to "ooh" and "ahh" and reminisce over.

Before you go searching for pictures of Dennis Quaid and Lindsay Lohan hugging — or, alternatively, Lindsay Lohan somehow cloning herself IRL — though, there's a downside: This does not involve any of the main cast. But it does bring us back to summer camp!

The "reunion" took place on the set of The Intern, that Nancy Meyers movie that enabled Robert DeNiro to crash some rando's World Cup viewing party. Anne Hathaway's also in it, but she doesn't matter because she wasn't in The Parent Trap. The ones who matter right now are Hallie Meyers-Shyer and Erin Mackey.

Who are Hallie Meyers-Shyer and Erin Mackey, you ask? Well, for one, Meyers-Shyer is Nancy Meyers' daughter. For another, they both played girls at the summer camp where Lindsay lohan meets Lindsay Lohan in The Parent Trap. Meyers-Shyer was the girl the more rough-and-tumble Lindsay Lohan covered with shaving cream while she slept, and Mackey was the girl Lindsay Lohan attacked with giant fake spiders.

And Nancy Meyers was very excited about the reunion.
