Has Robin Thicke Changed?

by Christine DiStasio

Could anyone possibly forget "Blurred Lines," the unofficial song of 2013's summer? I mean, you might've put it to the back of your mind now that Robin Thicke is on his quest to win Paula Patton back and making the world feel uncomfortable in the process. On Wednesday, Thicke debuted the video for "Still Madly Crazy," and while it's full of adorable kids, there's just something weird about it. Which is probably because there aren't any half-naked or fully naked models in it.

It's not 2013 anymore and Thicke no longer has Patton telling him that naked models cuddling with farm animals is a great artistic decision for your music video. Sad face. And instead of making a video starring a Paula Patton lookalike and Robin Thicke himself, singing about how he's still in love with his ex-wife. Thicke employed a handful of little boys and girls to lip-synch his song while looking dressed for a wedding. In any other circumstances, we'd be gushing over the cuteness of it all — little kids in love is always a winner.

But for Thicke, this is jarring and kind of over-the-top — in the opposite way that "Blurred Lines" was over-the-top and jarring a little over a year ago. So how has post-Paula life changed Robin Thicke, the proof is right here:

"Still Madly Crazy"

Not even remotely the same.

It is NEVER okay to blow smoke in a girl's face, but you're always welcome to feed her cake.

Sincerest apologies to this kid, who seems like he's supposed to be a baby-version of Thicke.

Is this little girl a metaphor for Paula running away from Robin? Maybe.

But Some Things Never Change

Robin Thicke really loves dessert with or without Paula Patton by his side.
