Shia LaBeouf's Seeking Treatment for Alcohol

It's been a wild year for Transformers' Shia LaBeouf, from outlandish art statements to last week's arrest during a Broadway performance of Cabaret. While it wasn't the first run in the controversial star has had with the law, it was certainly the most bizarre. But now pieces of the puzzle concerning LaBeouf's erratic behavior might be coming together. Although it was rumored that the actor had entered rehab, a rep for LaBeouf told The Wrap that this is not the case. They did say that he is seeking treatment for alcohol addiction, however.

The full statement reads:

Contrary to previous erroneous reports, Shia LaBeouf has not checked into a rehabilitation facility but he is voluntarily receiving treatment for alcohol addiction. He understands that these recent actions are a symptom of a larger health problem and he has taken the first of many necessary steps towards recovery. There will be no further comments made at this time.

While it's sad to hear that the actor has an addiction problem, we're glad he's getting the help he needs and hope to see him back in better health soon.
