It was love at first sight. After filming a segment on E! News with a rescue puppy named Ruby yesterday, Kaley Cuoco couldn’t get the dog off her mind. So the Big Bang Theory star went and adopted her from the West Valley Animal Shelter! Kaley Cuoco announced news of her new dog on Instagram and has been posting ridiculously adorable photos ever since. It’s not surprising Cuoco couldn’t resist rescuing Ruby, since she’s an avid animal rights activist. Whether saving the seals or hanging with horses, she seems to always be surrounded by animals like a modern day Snow White. Earlier in the week, she held a Wheels For Seals class at Soul Cycle in Beverly Hills to raise money to end seal hunting.
This is the second dog for Cuoco and her husband, Ryan Sweeting. She also has Norman, the namesake of her Instagram account, who she refers to as the “other love of her life.” Luckily, there are no hard feelings among the four-legged family members. Norman is making Ruby feel right at home! There are even pictures to prove it. She posted a photo the two dogs in her house with the caption: "Well looks like someone had no problem 'adjusting' :) #ruby #rescue #adopt"
In addition to the pup, the Cuoco-Sweeting family may be expanding in more ways than one. The 28-year-old reportedly can’t wait to get pregnant and have kids, telling E! Online recently, “If you can take care of a plant, then you can take care of a dog, then you can take care of a baby.”
If that statement is true, it looks like she'll be a great mom. Just look how happy Ruby is!
