Selena Needs a T. Swift Dating Lesson
If you think being one of Taylor Swift's (many) best friends is the bees knees, you're absolutely correct. Not only does she have a killer sense of humor and names her cats after some of our favorite kick ass female characters, (*cough* Olivia Benson), she's incredibly generous and takes her up and coming musical artist friends on tour with her and gives them major exposure (you're welcome, Ed Sheeran), and she's also apparently super into crafts which is always tons of fun. Most importantly though, T. Swift is a friend who imparts some seriously sage life advice, especially when it comes to relationships. And there's someone in particular who could benefit from this: Selena Gomez. Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber are back together and now she could really use some advice from Swift's wisest songs. Because if there's anyone who knows their way around the emotional stages of a break up, it's the Red singer herself.
If her reunion with Justin Bieber is any proof, Gomez is begging for a stern talking to. Hopefully, TSwift's well documented relationship woes can offer her some guidance in the opposite direction from wherever The Biebs is. After all, who better for Gomez to learn the romantic do's and don't's from than her best friend — Or former best friend? Who knows where they stand at this point! — who has also been through the ringer?
Here are some songs Selena should put on her iPod playlist immediately:
FIRST AND FOREMOST: "YOU'RE NOT SORRY"
"Looking so innocent, might believe you if I didn't know..." But you do know him, Selena, you do. We ALL do.
Relationship advice: Enough is enough! If you let this continue on you're going to get a creeptastic album in your honor, just ask poor Paula Patton.
FOR WHEN SHE MAY BE FEELING A TAD SENTIMENTAL: "WHITE HORSE"
"Now it's too late for you and your white horse to catch me now." White horse, white ridiculously expensive Lambo, whatever the vehicle may be Selena, DON'T GET ON IT.
Relationship advice: Just because he has a cherubic face like Stephen Colletti does NOT mean he isn't a total douche.
WHEN THE INEVITABLE ANGER SETS IN: "PICTURE TO BURN"
"I realize you love yourself more than you could ever love me." UH, YEAH.
Relationship advice: The Biebs doesn't love anyone as much as he loves himself. Selena, you've gotta know this by now.
FOR WHEN SHE WANTS TO FACE PALM: "DEAR JOHN"
"And I'll look back and regret how I ignored when they said run as fast as you can..." I mean...
Relationship Advice: RUN, RUN, RUN AND DON'T EVER STOP.
