Maks Will Never Take Another Partner
He finally did it — Dancing with the Stars' Maksim Chmerkovskiy commented on his relationship with Meryl Davis. And guess what, people, they absolutely have to be dating — so forget about those Maks and Jennifer Lopez dating rumors. After months of Maks and Meryl remaining relatively mum about whether or not they're romantic, the Season 18 winner gave DWTS fans and Maksyl 'shippers something juicy. Maks wants Meryl to be the last person he dances with — now, cue the violins and the "I told you so"s because they're in love for real.
Maks opened up in the most recent issue of Social Life magazine about his "showmance" and insane chemistry with his DWTS Season 18 partner, Olympic gold medal-winner Meryl Davis. The dance pro likened his relationship with Meryl to being at summer camp as a teenager. Maks told the magazine:
You spend summertime away from your home. When you spend three months very closely with someone at a particular place, it is like a summer love. You have no choice but to get involved with that person.
So, if we take this explanation at face value — the pair were definitely "involved" while performing on the show. Steamy. Maks also asserted that he has close relationships with many of his past partners, who include this year's DWTS host, Erin Andrews, because if he's going to devote that much of his time, he's going to develop a relationship. Meryl, apparently, occupies a very special place in his heart — when Social Life asked Maks about returning for another round of DWTS, he said of his most recent partner:
I want Meryl to be the last person I dance with, the last person I got to be passionate with and care so much for.
I'm sorry — WHAT?!?! Maks never wants to dance with another person again because his experience dancing with Meryl this season was that special to him. He's literally willing to give up his career on the show for her — that's serious. And in the next breath, as if Maks hadn't convinced us already that he and Meryl are headed to Fairytale-ville (yes, I really just wrote Fairytale-ville), he revealed that he's ready to settle down. The dancer said of his future plans if he does quit DWTS:
I raised so many children at the studio that I am ready to create one of my own. I am really ready to have a family now. I need an outlet. I have so much I want to give, and I need someone to give it to.
First comes DWTS love, then comes marriage, then comes this:
At least, that's what seems to be on Maks' mind. Only time will tell.
