The Must-See Fashion Moments from Bonnaroo 2014
Bonnaroo is beautiful. The festival of music and arts takes place in the small town of Manchester, TN, and is a festival that's about spreading positivity, camping with almost 100,000 of your new best friends, and enjoying live music. Coachella rules the West coast, Governor's Ball takes over the East, and Bonnaroo is the king of the midwestern music festival, for good reason.
The festival wrapped up last night with a killer headlining show from Sir Elton John. He was joined this past weekend by Kanye West, Janelle Monae, Arctic Monkeys, Ice Cube, Lauryn Hill, Frank Ocean and some other accomplished artists. No matter your favorite genre, your job or how hectic your days usually are, Bonnaroo gives people of all backgrounds and interests a break from reality and a glimpse into a carefree, happy escape.
Festival fashion has, in the past few years, moved from the underground world into national recognition. Not only is it now unwritten law to wear floral headbands, skater skirts, cand maxi dresses at popular festivals, but now brands have specific festival collections and target that audience. Stars have their own strategies for festival style. Even though the Tennessee heat can reach beyond scorching temperatures, celebs didn't let that stop them from styling bomber jackets, jeans, all-black ensembles, and...straightjackets? Check out the most memorable fashion moments from the show this year.
Janelle Monae
Rolled up in a straight jacket, and still looked stunning.
Kanye West
Layers of ostentatious tie dye went well with his over-the-top ranting.
Kim Kardashian-West
Surprising literally no one, Kim K wore a completely sheer top to the festival.
ZZ Ward
Channeling American Horror Story: Coven, looked goth-chic on stage.
Sam Smith
Way to make an average outfit look amazing with some florals, Smith.
Die Antwoord
Sadly, the South African duo was cut from the final rounds of Orange Is The New Black auditions.
Jack White
There's nothing hotter than a dude who can pull off mixing florals and stripes.
Lauren Mayfield
Instead of going the boho route, the CHVRCHES front woman went for a downtown-cool vibe with leather shorts and black booties.
