Ansel Elgort's Having A Weird Time Right Now

The Fault In Our Stars has been a straight-up phenomenon for a while now — something that's accomplished things like beating a big-budget Tom Cruise action movie at the box office. It's also pretty likely that one of its accomplishments has been making The Fault In Our Stars star Ansel Elgort's like markedly weirder than it was before. It enabled the birth of a potential "It boy," after all, and being an "It boy'"s gotta be pretty freaking bizarre.

Elgort proved the extreme oddity that is his current life in a recent instagram (above). Its scenario seems pretty clear: Elgort's sitting on a plane and looks over to see someone reading a magazine with his face on it. I can't speak for your life, but that's never happened to me. Sure, it happens to celebrities all the time — but that transition from just another face in the crowd to marked Famous Person seems like a freaky one.

Elgort had acting gigs before Fault, of course — just a few months ago he upped his fame quotient by playing Fault co-star Shailene Woodley's brother in Divergent. But it's undoubtable that Augustus Waters is his most high-profile role yet, and it's got a lot of people talking about him — and putting his faces on magazines. He seems like he's enjoying it for now, but every once in a while it's nice to just sit back and acknowledge that weird transitional time between Normal Person and Superstar.
