Andi, Don't Say Yes to Josh

by Nicole Pomarico

When we first met tall, dark, and handsome Josh Murray on The Bachelorette , I kinda liked him. He's cute, he's sweet, and a former professional baseball player — and he comes from Andi's hometown of Atlanta, so it seems like the stars are definitely aligned in Josh's favor. And despite the fact that Andi has had bad luck with jocks in the past, Josh has managed to break down our girl's walls and show her that he's not like the rest of them. On the surface, Josh seems honest, sweet, and willing to get to that emotional, sensitive place that most guys wouldn't let a woman see after only a few dates, let alone on reality television. In fact, very early on Josh admitted to Andi that (even though he seems super dateable) he hasn't had a serious relationship in five years. I'm sorry, what?

After getting to know Josh over the past four episodes, I've deduced that there has to be a reason for this. I know, I know — Reality Steve says that Josh is going to win, but I'm definitely not buying it. Why not? I'll be happy to fill you in.

Josh confronted Andrew ... and looked like an ass in the process

Our main man (and host) Chris Harrison filled Entertainment Weekly in on a little behind-the-scenes gossip about Andrew Poole allegedly getting a waitress's number during a Bachelorette cocktail party, and the way Josh reacted to a situation that absolutely did not involve him was one of the first things that turned me off to him. Why did Josh feel like he needed to tell Andrew that hitting on someone while competing for Andi's affections was inappropriate? Because he was sticking up for Andi, or because he was looking for screen time?

In my opinion, Josh should just let Andrew eliminate himself from the competition and sit back and enjoy the drama without being a part of it, but I'm not sure he's capable of not joining a catfight when the opportunity presents itself. Josh might say he's "a grown ass man," but I don't believe him.

Even though Josh is a pro at sports, he's a sore loser

When Josh's team lost the basketball game in Connecticut, Josh didn't try to hide his disappointment. Which is fine — pro athletes are obviously gonna be bummed when they lose. However, pro athletes should know how to properly conduct themselves when they lose, and that does not mean being cranky and taking it out on everyone else who is also bummed that they lost.

In life, there are a lot of wins and losses... and I'd like to see someone by Andi's side who can laugh about the losses instead of just getting pissed.

Josh looks like a total douche in a scarf

I know, this has very little to do with Josh's actual character, but I want the best for Andi, and to me, the best is a man who can wear winter accessories and pull them off.

The whole sketchy Snapchat thing

If you don't want to be spoiled, I suggest you skip over this one, but if not, you're already aware of Snapchatgate '14: Where Josh Murray's Snapchat BFFs are concerned, Andi's not in the top spot. ... Instead, his ex-girlfriend, Brittany, is. What's up with that? That's not OK. And I can't imagine a world where Andi thinks this is OK, either.
