This World Cup Couple Is Very Successful

One of the 2014 World Cup's most talked about players is no doubt Cristiano Ronaldo, a forward and the captain of Portugal's team. 29-year-old Ronaldo will be making his third World Cup appearance this year which will make him, and teammate Ricardo Costa, the first Portuguese players to appear in three World Cups. Ronaldo has also won two FIFA Player of the Year awards. So... yeah, you get it. He's good at soccer. And when people are good at their jobs, you tend to want to know a little more information. What's their hair gel budget? What's it like being absurdly famous? Who are they dating? Well, we don't have the answer to the first couple of questions, but to answer the third: Cristiano Ronaldo is dating Irina Shayk and she's really freakin' successful herself.

If you follow the modeling world at all, you've probably heard of Shayk. The Russian model, real name Irina Valeryevna Shaykhlislamova, has been part of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue since 2007 and appeared on the cover in 2011. She was the face of Intimissimi, an Italian lingerie brand and is signed with the modeling agency IMG. She has also modeled for the Victoria's Secret catalogue and Armani Exchange. Shayk will make her acting debut in this year's Hercules alongside The Rock as Hercules' wife.

Reportedly, Shayk and Ronaldo began dating in 2010 and they are said to have met on the set of an Armani Exchange photo shoot. More recently, the two brought their modeling powers together for the cover of Spanish Vogue. (When not playing on Portugal's national team, Ronaldo plays for Spain's Real Madrid.)

Oh yeah, and he's naked. Because you can't have Amor y Fútbol (if this isn't already, it needs to be the name of a soap opera, stat) without a nakey dude and wedding dress fashioned out of your shower towel.

If you'd like to watch this ridiculously attractive couple in action, Ronaldo's first World Cup game is on June 16 when Portugal will take on Germany and you'll probably get a shot of Shayk in the crowd. You know, if she isn't too busy jetting off to exotic modeling locations.
