She'll Be Live-Tweeting the 'Veep' Finale

by Loretta Donelan

HBO's Veep is wrapping up its third season tonight with a finale that promises to be characteristically dysfunctional. In honor of the occasion, the show's always hilarious star Julia Louis-Dreyfus has promised to live-tweet the episode. Louis-Dreyfus joined Twitter in 2012, and despite her frequent assertions to the contrary, has proven to be a witty and savvy Twitter user. She announced her Sunday evening plans with typical good humor to her Twitter followers:

I'll b live tweeting (what does that really mean? - isn't that what I'm doing now?) tonite during #VeepFinale @HBO It's gonna b CRAZY.

Louis-Dreyfus stars as United States Vice President Selina Meyer on HBO's brutal political satire. This season has seen her preparing for a presidential campaign and rocking a pretty great haircut. She's travelled to London, been parodied on SNL, and attacked by a Statue of Liberty.

It's a two-part finale, so that's a full hour of tense political hilarity (and Louis-Dreyfus tweets). From the promo, it looks like we'll be getting an idea of whether Meyer's presidential campaign will be successful, and thus have a clue as to where Veep Season 4 (yes, there will thankfully be a season 4) is going. We'll also be seeing more of Joe Thornhill, Meyer's aggressively folksy and macho opponent. Louis-Dreyfus promises an exciting episode:

If the rest of her Twitter is any indication it's sure to be a pretty funny night, despite what her family might think:

Watch the two-part season finale tonight at 10 p.m. ET on HBO, and remember to keep refreshing your Twitter feed to find out what our favorite funny actress has to say.
