Don't Look For Her On 'KUWTK'
I guess this show can only have so many bouncing bundles of joy — cough Kendall and Kylie. Okay, just kidding. But with Keeping Up With The Kardashians premiering on June 8, we're all wondering two things — will the Kimye wedding be featured on Season 9 of the reality show and will North West FINALLY make her KUWTK debut? Not if Kanye West has anything to say about it — even if his new bride wants their daughter to join the family business. Kanye wants to limit North's exposure now that the reality royal wedding is over. So, we'll just have to be happy with Kourtney Kardashian's recently announced pregnancy and Penelope and Mason Disick.
That's not really a bad deal — but I really thought Grandma Kris would've figured out a way to wear down Yeezy over the past year. I mean, he did allow his engagement circus to be televised last season on KUWTK. But, North isn't her mom and dad and Kanye isn't going to budge on this one. According to reports, Kanye wants to amp up security around his young daughter because he was uncomfortable about how much exposure she got during the wedding. That sounds like a reasonable fatherly concern, right?
A source told Radaronline that Kanye allegedly "was frustrated that the baby was in public so much and he wants to make sure that now that all of those festivities are over that she’s protected.” Well, where better to be "protected" than within the hallowed halls of Grandma Kris' Calabasas mansion and under the watchful eye of Ryan Seacrest? Contrary to past Kanye-rumors, the newly married rapper isn't trying to control his daughter's press, he just "doesn’t want people to be able to track her every move.” I mean, she's a baby, not the President of the United States. (Or Prince George, for that matter.) But I can respect Kanye's motives and his decision — he's just a concerned parent here, trying to do what's right in the media machine that is the Kardashian family.
He does sound a bit paranoid though, right? Kim, on the other hand, seemed to think that North was taking the Parisian attention in stride. Following the wedding, the new Mrs. West took to her blog where she thanked the paparazzi in Paris for being so respectful. The reality start wrote, "The paparazzi are so nice and respectful to where I felt comfortable bringing North out. Thankfully, no one yells and scares her." And well, we all know that Kim would love to have North on the show — she's sung the praises of the hilarious things Mason and Penelope do on camera. Show producer Seacrest also has allegedly jumped in on the debate, suggesting that fans might like to see Kim interact with her daughter in her new role as a mom.
So what does all of this mean for Nori's impending starring role on KUWTK? Probably that it's still a long way off. There's been no official statement made by Mr. and Mrs. Kanye West nor E! that North will appear on the upcoming season of the show. But, considering Kimye seem to be on completely different pages with this, the answer might not be a hard no anymore.
