Who Will Be Your 'True Detective' Leads?

True Detective is starting to become like the Kimye wedding with how often we think we know everything about it only to suddenly and swiftly be proven wrong. The only thing we know for sure about the second season is the recently revealed news that True Detective season two will have three leads instead of two and be set in California, which doesn't tell us very much at all. Still, the True Detective fans have learned how to make do with very little ever since the end of season one and this news was no different.

It's still too early to have even an inkling of an idea as to which actors and actresses will be nabbing the co-lead roles in the next season, but that hasn't stopped anyone from speculating. Although the rumor that Jessica Chastain will be joining True Detective was debunked by Chastain herself, that setback doesn't mean we're not in for an amazing season. If nothing else, the best proof of that is in the sense of humor that the fan base has had no problem displaying.

If you're wondering which three people are going to be the leads in True Detective season two, Twitter is happy to give you an answer — of sorts. Try to imagine how great the next season of True Detective would be with any of these trios in the lead. The fact that people were able to come up with so many various trios that were perfectly capable of carrying the next season on their shoulders is all the support that HBO needs for this idea. It would have been great to see another duo like Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson playing off one another, but the three person dynamic is a tried and true formula.

The only question at this point is which of these trios would be the most effective at solving the crime.
