Ciara Introduces the World to Future Zahir Wilburn

Congratulations go out to Ciara, who just welcomed her first child with fiancé, Future. Their bundle of joy was born Monday, but in the spirit of "pics or it didn't happen," Ciara made a formal announcement on her Instagram account Tuesday. She posted the picture below alone with the birth announcement caption: "FUTURE ZAHIR WILBURN 9lbs 10oz May 19 2014." Future can look back on this announcement someday knowing that his proud mom was all-caps excited to tell the world about him. After some speculation as to what Ciara and Future named their son, we now have our answer: Future Zahir.

The picture features baby Future's arm and hand, but nothing else. We'll just have to wait to see if he takes after his mom or dad more in the looks department.

Ciara announced her pregnancy in January during an appearance on The View, three months after news of her engagement broke. In April, she spoke to Us Weekly about pregnancy, her engagement and her all around wonderful existence.

"I feel great," she gushed. "I didn't even know what to expect, but it's been a very easy process—and it's been so much fun....Honestly, it's been the coolest experience in my life! Besides getting engaged which happened last year, this has been pretty awesome."
