She's Making Her Vogue Debut
The Kardashian take-over continues: Kendall Jenner has officially been shot for an upcoming issue of Vogue ! Her inclusion in the hallowed pages of the fashion tome likely won't be as controversial as April's Kimye cover, after all, she's a model in her own right.
E! revealed last week that Jenner was photographed by famed photog Patrick Demarchelier for an upcoming Vogue feature. So she won't be on the cover (no surprise there), but it's Vogue so we're sure she's beyond thrilled. Landing a coveted feature in the pages of the fashion bible is like being blessed with the oft-sought and rarely given Anna Wintour stamp of approval (even if featuring you wasn't exactly her idea).
Marc Malkin from E! reports that she won't be the only celebrity in the spread:
I've also heard that Robin Wright and Sean Penn's daughter, Dylan Penn, sat for Demarchelier. The 22-year-old model and acting newcomer was snapped by paparazzi heading into Demarchelier's studio earlier this week with her manager David Todd of David Todd Model Management.
Maybe Vogue is doing a young Hollywood thing? Or a famous families thing? A young, pretty girls thing? Oh wait, that's all of them. I guess we'll have to wait until the mysterious issue hits stands on an as-yet-unknown date.
Jenner, who signed with Wilhelmina modeling agency at just 14 years old, has already proven she has the chops to hang out in the fashion big leagues. During Fashion Month she walked for Marc Jacobs in New York, Giles in London, and Chanel in Paris. She was also seated next to Ms. Wintour herself at the Topshop Unique show. Jenner has certainly come a long way since her modeling debut for Forever 21.
I think Jenner has what it takes to be a serious model, and I'm glad Vogue is recognizing real talent. This is the girl who had the guts to wear a Topshop gown to the Met Gala. She's stylish and adorable and definitely my favorite of the Kardashian clan. I look forward to her Vogue spread, as should you.
