Seth Rogen Is No Belieber
Seth Rogen, like a lot of comedians, tells it like it is. Or at least he tells it like he sees it. And how he sees it is that Justin Bieber really is the arrogant dick everyone's been painting him as for this most recent stretch of his history in the public eye. There's no surprise here, just the lunch room camraderie of throwing shade in the same direction as a famous person.
Rogen made the acquaintance of the young King Joffrey Of Petulance And Pop backstage at a German pop show, where (as Rogen told Howard Stern) Bieber apparently asked to meet Rogen — he does seem to be a member of Rogen's biggest demographic, after all — and then acted like it went the other way, which did not jive with Rogen:
What the f--k, I don't want to meet you! Don't act all nonplussed to meet me. I didn't want to meet you. I was totally cool with not meeting you! I was like, ‘He's a little bit of a motherfucker. Whatever. He's a bit of a dick.
They met again at the MTV Movie Awards, where Rogen's opinion soured further:
I saw him again at like an MTV awards show, he literally had a snake wrapped around his fucking wrist that he was wearing, like a live snake as an accouterment. "I was like ‘What the fuck?' I talked to him for like five minutes. I just remember thinking, ‘F--k this kid.' I remember thinking, 'He's a piece of shit.'
And it doesn't seem like his take on his fellow Canadian is set to change anytime soon:
I've met him a few times. He's a good example of someone who you meet who you think you are going to hate and then you get to hate him as much as you [thought]...You meet him and he lives up to every one of your expectations of how you hope he'll be.
Oof. Those are some rough words, for sure. Then again, we can't pretend we haven't found great joy over people photoshopping Bieber's head over King Joffrey's body — because we have. And we will continue to do so into the forseeable future.
