Katy Perry's Tour Costumes Are JEM-tastic

Pop star Katy Perry is set to kick-off her Prismatic World Tour this Wednesday in Belfast, Ireland and, to celebrate, the songbird shared sketches of her show looks on Instagram as a final countdown. Pieces from multiple designers will grace Perry's stage this summer, but ensembles from the fire starter himself Roberto Cavalli caught our attention.

The two looks, one a mini dress with sequined and beaded fringe and the other a silk lamé pleated skirt with matching crop top and jacket, reminded us of a certain record label owner slash rock star femme fatale.

JEM, is that you?

Were the world-renowned designer and his musical muse so overcome with excitement over the upcoming Jem and the Holograms movie that they couldn't resist adding a little '80s cartoon fabulousness to the fashion? WWD reports that Cavalli added holographic effects to both ensembles, which in my book confirms all suspicion.

One can only hope she does her quick change by way of a holographic computer system and remote micro-projectors in her earrings. Side note: If Kimber, Aja, and Shana look-a-likes join Perry in a rock battle against pseudo-Misfits, the internet and possibly the world will explode.

Even the sketches scream JEM!

Perry also shared looks from seven other designers, including The Blonds, Moschino, Valentino, and Di$count Univer$e (see below), but, nothing compares to the Cavalli look that is truly, truly, truly, outrageous (couldn’t help myself).
