This Would Be Such A Dream Team

The White House Correspondents dinner has transformed over the years from a relatively lighthearted break from DC politics into what primarily seems to be a veritable celebrity smorgasbord. Combine that with instagram and a typically quippy caption from Mindy Kaling? And you've got some new Hollywood daydreams just waiting to be crushed.

The captioned photo in question? That'd be a trio shot of Mindy Kaling, Lupita Nyong'o, and Zooey Deschanel — you can see it above. The caption, courtesy of Kaling, reads "They fought crime with a bold lip." Why you gotta go put those ideas in our heads??

Pop culture obsessives that we are, our minds couldn't help but wander to a place where this show and/or film and/or general franchise is a reality. Call if our love of ladies kicking ass, call it our desire to see Nyong'o everywhere and in everything — we've got a tip for Hollywood, and that tip is that if they ever want to re-reboot Charlie's Angels they have already found their leading ladies.

Just picture it: One could be the bookish organize one, one the party girl, one the dorky mother hen. I'm fine with any of them in any of those categories or more, just give me a world where this show lasts at least enough episodes for me to spend a weekend binge-watching and projecting myself into the narrative.

Of course we know the chances of this ever actually occurring are slim to none: Kaling's got a show to run and star in, Deschanel is also starring in a show and has her music career going simultaneously, and Nyong'o seems like she's gonna be riding out her Oscar win for a bit. But a girl can dream, y'know? And this isn't too far from our regular ass-kicking dreams, anyway.
