Angela Gives Details on 'AHS: Freak Show'
American Horror Story is known to get weird. Like devil-baby, demon possession, mask made of human skin weird. The past three seasons have set a high, almost unsurpassable standard for what kind of bizarre atrocities we can expect to witness on Season 4, but American Horror Story: Freak Show will quite possibly be the most disturbing season of AHS yet. In an interview with Vulture, Angela Bassett discusses the casting possibilities for Season 4, saying, "We're all freaks."
American Horror Story: Freak Show is set in Florida in the 1950s, with Jessica Lange as the manager of one of the last freak shows in the U.S, a performance she will no doubt kill (I say that in the best, most complimentary sense possible), and has potential to be her most terrifying AHS character thus far. Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, and Frances Conroy will all be returning in Season 4 as well.
The potential possibilities of deranged carnival side-show characters that might show up in Season 4 are endless. Bassett says that she's definitely not playing the bearded lady, nor will she play half of a set of conjoined twins, either, but someone (or something) "even more special." As for the rest of the cast, she says, "After the bearded lady and the conjoined twins, what else is there?"
We're not sure what else there will be, but there are plenty of freaky characters that could appear in AHS season four, and might have the potential to become memorable audience favorites (Pepper from Season 2, anyone?)
1. The Elephant Man
2. The Human Unicorn
3. The Man With Two Penises
You'll have to use your imagination for this one
4. The Lion-Faced Boy
5. The Four-Legged Woman
6. The Camel Girl
7. The Invulnerable Man
