Naya Rivera Has NOT Been Fired from 'Glee'
And as quick as the rumor mill got churning, the current flavor du jour — OMG Naya Rivera was fired from Glee and it was probably/maybe/totally/allegedly Lea Michele's fault! — has been squashed by the actress' rep. Apparently, Naya Rivera is not fired from Glee. In a statement released by her rep through JustJared.com, "Any reports or rumors circulating that Naya Rivera was let go or fired from Glee are absolutely untrue. End of story."
Well, that's a way to put it. If you've not been on top of your Glee scandals as of late (it's alright, we'll forgive you), rumors had been swirling for weeks that Rivera's engagement to rapper Big Sean fell to pieces after he allegedly slept with Michele, causing a chasm-sized rift between the two multi-hyphenates. This bit of information is relevant in relation to the news earlier today that Rivera was written out of the FOX series' sixth season finale (set to air next month). Some also attributed the bickering to Rivera's distaste for Michele's alleged "diva antics," whatever that means.
E! broke the news of Rivera's removal from the finale earlier today, with a production "insider" — man I wish I was an insider in anything — that she wasn't "fired and her not being in the finale has nothing to do with Lea. I don't know where these stories are coming from, but they are not true." So that's that, folks. You are now allowed to go back to your regularly scheduled musical number.
