Thomas Gets Teary On New 'Southern Charm'
Are you ready for your next dose of T-Rav and Kathryn "Eyelashes" Dennis? I hope so, because Monday night's new episode of Southern Charm is looking to bring the drama. On the previous episode, Whitney told Thomas that he did indeed hook up with Kathryn meaning that Craig's statement at the Glass Menagerie dinner party about Kathryn having sex with three men at the table was true. Does that make sense to you? Of course it does because you watch Southern Charm! Judging by a preview of Southern Charm 's new episode, this situation continues (because Kathryn Dennis brings the drama, duh) with Thomas confronting Kathryn about Whitney and appearing to get a little teary.
In the clip, Thomas tells Kathryn that Whitney confirmed their history and Kathryn looks him the eye and says, "Do you believe that?" He doesn't respond, so she leans in closer and repeats, "Do you believe that?" Thomas still doesn't say anything — But he might on the show! You'll have to watch! — which makes total sense because in that moment Kathryn is extremely intimidating.
Later, Thomas goes to a church (?) to talk to a lawyer (?) about whether you should follow your head or your heart in "these situations," meaning situations where you're dating a woman 30 years younger that slept with two of your "friends," and the lawyer-ish person says he should follow his head. Thomas responds, "Really?!" because apparently it's shocking to him that a lawyer/clergyman/friend/other confidant would give rational rather than idealistic advice.
Even later, in a scene that will surely close the episode, Thomas tells Kathryn, "I love you. I respect you. I would do anything for you," and then is shown with watery eyes. Is he going to break up with Kathryn?!
I know, I know, we all know that in real life they're together and recently had a baby, but that doesn't mean they didn't break up briefly on the show. Perhaps Thomas got overwhelmed by his own confusion or was like, "Hang on. I'm a 51-year-old ex-con with hopeless political prospects. Something's gotta be wrong with her, right?" We'll have to wait and see.
In other news, we'll get to see Patricia visit Whitney's apartment and comment, "Big ugly furniture bought at Home Depot... on a sale." She's the best.
