SAT Scores From Ke$ha, Natalie Portman, and More of Your Favorite Celebrities
We might not think of celebrities are great academic minds, but many of them could have been, if their standardized testing scores are any indication. Then again, when it comes to other stars, their scores were simply an indication that they had other skills to show off to the world. What did some of your favorite stars score on their SATs? Read on to find out!
Ke$ha
Ke$ha proves that you can have a dollar sign in your name and rock a gold tooth and still score crazy high numbers on the SAT. According to reports, the "Crazy Kids" singer scored a 1500 on her exam out of a perfect 1600. Not too shabby. Though the singer rocked her SATs, she actually dropped out of school at 17 to pursue her music career. Risky, but smart, move. No wonder she scored 1500.
Drea de Matteo
The Sopranos and Desperate Housewives star didn't do too hot on her standardized test. She reportedly scored a mere 800 points on her SAT. Still, the actress went on to study at NYU's prestigious Tisch School of the Arts. Not so desperate after all.
Will Smith
Will Smith may have made a mistake with After Earth, but he made none on the SATs. According to rumors, the rapper and actor scored a near-perfect SAT score when he took the exam. Though he was never offered a scholarship to MIT (as previously rumored), he did say that his mother was friends with someone on the board and that he could have gotten in given his SAT score — if he had any intention of going to college, that is.
Bill Cosby
Proving that SAT scores aren't everything, the comedian scored under 500 on his SATs. Cosby was successful regardless, but we're not sure we'd let Dr. Huxtable give us medical advice anytime soon.
Natalie Portman
The Best Actress Winner and Star Wars alum skipped the film premiere of one of her own films so she could study for her high school exams. That dedication is what allowed her to pull a solid 1400 on her SATs.
Peyton Manning
The football star reportedly scored just over 1000 points on his SAT. Not a bad score, but it seemed to tell him that he was destined for a sports career rather than an academic one.
Bill O'Reilly
Seems Bill "We'll Do It Live!" O'Reilly is good under live pressure — the O'Reilly Factor host steamrolled his SATs, scoring a 1585 out of 1600.
Howard Stern
The foul-mouthed radio host scored an 870 on his SATs. We're sure the Private Parts actor would prefer to keep that part of his life private.
Meredith Vieira
The journalist and television personality pulled in a 1300. That score led her to Tufts University, where she graduated magna cum laude. Nice!
James Woods
Family Guy may love to poke fun at the Virgin Suicides actor, but his SAT score is no joke — he scored nearly a perfect 1600 on the exam. Woods went off to MIT, only to drop out to pursue his dream of becoming an actor instead.
Courteney Cox
The former Friends star scored a solid 1150 on her SAT. She went on to Mount Vernon College in Washington, D.C., to study architecture, but she shifted gears and decided to pursue modeling and acting instead. We're grateful — could there be anyone else more perfect for Monica Gellar?
