Unbelievable News From Kathryn & Thomas!

Hey y'all! We've got some big Southern Charm news. HUGE Southern Charm news, in fact. So you know how Thomas Ravenel and Kathryn Dennis had that pregnancy scare, but then she wasn't actually pregnant, and then he said he was going to give an announcement on Watch What Happens Live and we were like, "Oh snap! She's totally pregnant this time." You know how all of that happened? Okay, well now something even crazier has gone down. Thomas Ravenel and Kathryn Dennis had a baby together. Like, they ALREADY have it. She was pregnant, she's not pregnant anymore, and a baby girl has been born. What the what?!

Now that production for the first season of Southern Charm has wrapped, Ravenel and Dennis were ready to share the news. Ravenel told Bravo's The Dish blog that their daughter, Kensington Calhoun Ravenel, was born on March 24 in West Palm Beach, Fla. Is that not the most "We're from fancy Charleston families" name that has ever happened? The baby's middle name, Calhoun, is from Dennis' family — she is a descendant of the seventh vice president, John C. Calhoun. Of his new daughter Ravenel said, "It's really a blessing. It's one of the greatest creations one could ever hope to be apart of!" He went on to say that the baby has Dennis' eyes and a mix of both of their temperaments.

Ravenel said that he and Dennis decided to have a child for real, for real after shooting finished. "I'm getting on in my age and I wanted a child. And after we had wrapped up shooting in Charleston, we had both decided we wanted to have a baby for real. We both love each other and care about each other, so we said, 'Let's do this!'" As for that "getting on in my age comment," Ravenel and Dennis' large age difference is often mentioned on the show. She's 22 and he's 51.

The fact that these two had a child together and were able to keep it secret is highly impressive. Since Ravenel and Dennis got together on the show, fans have wondered if they're even still dating without getting concrete answers and not only is that the case, they have a baby! These Southern Charm people really know what they're doing. Just yesterday we reported that it appears Ravenel and Dennis' costar Cameran Eubanks got married on Saturday with hardly any news of a wedding getting out.

Congrats to Thomas and Kathryn on the new baby and on their success in keeping this private! I guess now we know what one of the big plot points will be if Southern Charm gets renewed.
