We love Elizabeth Banks. She's responsible for bringing us Pitch Perfect 2 and for being the perfect Effie Trinkett, so we're thrilled to see her back on the silver screen in the raunchy Walk of Shame, whose red-band trailer premiered today. The film is about TV reporter Meghan Miles who loses out on a big job and gets super upset. To cheer her up, her friends decide she should have a one-night-stand (obviously). So Meghan gets wasted and goes home with a cute guy (X-Men's James Marsden).
But after a wild night, Meghan wakes up to a message from her boss: she can have another shot at the job as long as she nails her on-air broadcast. Meghan has to get to the studio immediately and thus embarks on the worst journey of her life, probably. Labeled as a "good girl" early in the trailer, it's obvious that everything that's about to happen to her is out of the ordinary and yet she remains remarkably determined throughout it all.
The trailer shows us just how terrible of a day Meghan has as her car gets towed, she gets picked up for accidental prostitution, shot at in a warehouse, kicked off a bus, and more. Will she make it back for the job interview in time? We don't know, but the journey to get there is what's going to make this film funny. That and Banks' excellent comedic acting.
