Rogen Plays Second Fiddle in 'SNL' Promos

Maybe it's because it's the third time he's hosting Saturday Night Live, but if there's one thing to take away from Seth Rogen's SNL promo videos it's that he's not the star of this show. Rogen was paired up with cast member Aidy Bryant and she was the one delivering all the laughs in the promo as the eccentric energizer bunny to Rogen's straight man. In fact, it was more or less easy to ignore Rogen entirely and focus on what was important: the fact that it was Bryant's first time doing a promo and the fact that Zac Efron looks amazing without a shirt on.

We already learned very recently that Seth Rogen has absolutely no problem admitting how attractive Efron is, because, like the rest of us, he isn't blind. Bryant also has no problem admitting how attractive Efron is — or hearing about it. "Tell me about [Efron's body] in very slow, sexual descriptive words," said Bryant before closing her eyes and clasping her hands together in rapturous joy. Anyone who says they haven't thought of Zac Efron with that same expression on their face, though obviously not in public or on television, is lying, which is part of what makes it so hilarious.

Later on in the promo, Bryant begins to sing about how this week is about her. Even though it's a joke, by that point I found myself agreeing with her since she's the one who generated all of the comedy in the video. Of course, we all know that Rogen can be funny: He's built his entire career around it and lists off a few movies he's been in before such as Pineapple Express and the upcoming Neighbors.

It was nice to see him give the spotlight to a female comedian who proved in five minutes that she was every bit as hilarious as we know Rogen to be. Now all I need is a movie about the two of them (with Zac Efron in the background flexing) and I'll consider my life complete.
