Kate Upton and Leslie Mann Shine Bright in Satin
In life, there are a lot of tough choices — choices made especially difficult when you’re picking between two amazing things, like chocolate cake and brownies, for instance, or Louboutins and Jimmy Choos. So when two gorgeous, well-styled, blonde beauties like Kate Upton and Leslie Mann show up to a movie premiere wearing similar — and equally amazing — ensembles and we’re forced to decide who was best dressed, it simply can't be done.
And that’s exactly what happened yesterday when the two stars hit the red carpet at the Munich premiere of their upcoming flick The Other Woman — also starring Cameron Diaz — stunning in sizzling satin numbers that were equal parts glamorous, timeless, and sexy.
At first glance, it may seem like supermodel-turned-actress Upton was the best dressed. After all, not only are her casually curled locks, flawless skin, bold brows, and Marilyn Monroe-esque red lip practically perfect, but her amazing red, satin Fendi dress couldn’t have been more gorgeous. With its structured shoulders, defined waste, tasteful-but-sultry hemline, and subtle pattern, the dress has the ideal balance of glamour and effortlessly cool style, especially when paired with minimal jewelry and simple nude pumps.
But then take a peek at Mann, who was practically glowing from head to toe in her luxe, soft yellow, satin dress from The Row. While not as on-the-nose sexy as Upton’s leg-baring number, Mann’s look screams timeless glamour with its softly draped neckline, curve-hugging fit, and mermaid hem. And it only gets better from the neck up, as she masters Old Hollywood curls, luminous skin, and a statement-making red pout. The only flaw in this fabulous look is the choice of uninspired nude sandals, where a metallic pump or other statement shoe would have really stunned. But with an ensemble this great, we really can't fault her.
And we have to give some major credit to Diaz, too, as she looked fierce and ultra-glam showing off her famous legs in her embellished Emilio Pucci mini dress. Finishing the look with a pared-down ponytail, nude pumps, diamond ear cuffs, and a natural makeup look, the actress held her own beside two expertly dressed stars.
So if you were searching for an answer about which cast member is the real style star of The Other Woman, we have to break it to you: You won't find that answer on this red carpet.
