Aw, a New Pup For Miley!

It’s been an emotional week for Miley Cyrus: Floyd, the singer’s Alaskan Klee Kai, died on Tuesday. Unless you're an ice monster, losing a pet is very devastating. I am not an ice monster, so my heart breaks for ya, Miley. Wednesday night, she pulled herself together as best she could for the Boston stop of the Bangerz tour, but broke down while performing Fleetwood Mac's “Landslide” in memory of her beloved dog. Ugh, my heart keeps on breakin' for ya, Miley. Thursday, Miley cried again during her New Jersey show, tweeted that she was "fucking miserable," and spent the evening grieving and cuddling with her dog (and tour buddy) Mary Jane. But Friday, Miley shared some happier news: Tish Cyrus surprised her with a new puppy named Moonie, and Moonie and Mary Jane are doing one of the many things dogs are great at: comforting their human pal when she needs it the most.

Some people may argue that it's too soon to get another dog, but I say "pshaw!" to those hypothetical people. Everyone mourns in different ways. Miley makes it very clear that Moonie is not a substitute (any animal lover will tell you that it's impossible to fill the void left by a pet!), but a new friend: “no one could ever replace my baby Floyd but this precious angel is lendin me some fur to cry on along with my other babies.” (Her "other babies" being her other adorable dogs, obv.)
