You Can Order McDonald's Delivery Now, #Blessed

by Emma Lord

All the wishes you made on lazy stars have come true on this day of days, my fellow humans, for McDonald's will offer delivery starting January 2017. For the people in the participating areas, that means that you will no longer have to remove your physical form from your home to collect your bounty, but can fulfill your random whims for McDonald's perilously addicting fries without ever leaving your own front door. And frankly, if that isn't the American dream, then I don't know what is.

The delivery is made possible through a partnership with UberEATs, a food delivery service that operates in 50 cities around the country. However, in late January, McDonald's will only offer the delivery service to 200 participating restaurants in the Orlando, Tampa, and Miami area. While UberEATS has been around for awhile, this partnership is rather unique, because very few fast food companies have hopped on board the delivery train. Not for the first time this year, all eyes will be on Florida for a verdict, because if the delivery program goes well there, McDonald's will consider expanding delivery options in other cities across the U.S. as well. (Note to Florida: be a pal and please don't muck this one up, too.)

Through UberEATS, customers will not only be able to order for delivery, but track their order's progress with the app as well. That means you will be psychologically primed for that perfect moment when the doorbell rings and those seven hash browns you ordered arrive, and have your Netflix all queued up and ready to go.

This deal is especially #blessed considering that, as of 2015, McDonald's offers All Day Breakfast nationwide; this delivery service only further serves to unleash your infinite All Day Breakfast potential. I foresee a future where I am unrepentantly ordering a stack of pancakes to the Bustle office at 2 p.m. and that future is so, so bright. In the meantime, if you live in one of the participating cities, you can prep by downloading the UberEATS app to your phone. McDonald's will make an announcement in January when delivery officially begins. The rest of us will just have to cross our fingers and hope that the mighty Big Mac gods are on our side to make this a nationwide bonanza!
