Meet the New 'Girl Meets World' Kids

We were already excited about the Disney Channel's Boy Meets World sequel series, but the first promo photo of the Girl Meets World cast has us on a whole different level. People exclusively revealed the first official photo of the cast on Tuesday and later that day, Ben Savage posted the adorable photo to his Instagram account. And here we are, gushing over how great it is that 10 years after Boy Meets World went off the air, Cory and Topanga are back with their adorable family and Minkus and other former stars in tow.

So we already know who Cory and Topanga are — obviously — but who are the rest of those adorable kids in the photo? The new series is centered around the daughter of everyone's favorite married couple, Riley Matthews, who's played by Rowan Blanchard. According to show creator Michael Jacobs, Girl Meets World is driven by the same comedic storytelling and honesty that made its parent series such a lovable success. So as we get ready for Girl Meets World to premiere this summer (no official premiere date has been announced just yet) let's get to know the new faces we're sure to fall in love with just like their parents.

So from left to right, here's what we know about Girl Meets World's new stars.

Peyton Meyer, Lucas Friar

Meyer starred in another Disney Channel series titled Dog With A Blog which is still airing episodes on the network. His character, Lucas, is set to play a potential love interest for Riley.

August Maturo, August "Auggie" Matthews

Maturo will play Riley's younger brother Auggie on the series and as for where you've seen him before? In more places than you probably remember. The young actor has appeared on the now-fan-despised How I Met Your Mother , Weeds, Raising Hope, and Suburgatory.

Rowan Blanchard, Riley Matthews

Blanchard will be the star of Girl Meets World as the series follows the growing pains of her adolescence. But before landing the role, she voiced the character of Caitlin on Playhouse Disney's Dance-A-Lot Robot and appeared in the films The Back-up Plan and Spy Kids: All The Time In The World 4D.

Sabrina Carpenter, Maya Hart

Carpenter will be filling the Shawn Hunter role to Blanchard's Cory — she'll be Riley's BFF that helps her navigate through the 7th grade. You've probably seen this actress in more than a handful of roles — Carpenter starred on the FOX comedy The Goodwin Games, in an episode of the Netflix hit Orange Is the New Black, and alongside Daniel Radcliffe in Horns.

Corey Fogelmanis, Shamus Farkle

Think Minkus 2.0 — which will be really great when Lee Norris reprises his role on the series. Fogelmanis will be Riley's nerdy nemesis and we can only hope that he'll have the Minkus nerd-voice down pat. Girl Meets World is Fogelmanis' second big role — he previously appeared on the short-lived CBS comedy series Partners.
