Exciting news for Mean Girls fans: Amanda Seyfried is reportedly expecting her first child with fiancé Thomas Sadowski. According to People, she made the pregnancy announcement on Tuesday night at a Givenchy press event; she serves as a spokesmodel for the brand. Bustle has reached out to Seyfried's rep for confirmation about the baby news, but has not heard back at this time.
As a recap, Seyfried and Sadowski revealed their engagement back in September, after the Ted 2 star was spotted with a ring on her finger while walking her dog. The pair first met in 2015 while starring in an off-Broadway drama, The Way We Get By, together, according to People. They also will appear alongside one another in the 2017 movie, The Last Word . In addition to those roles, you may recognize Sadowski from your TV screen — he currently stars on CBS's Life in Pieces and previously appeared on The Newsroom.
While this will be the couple's first kid together, Seyfried already has a bit of parenting experience under her belt, thanks to her rescue dog, Finn, who frequently appears in her Instagram photos. (He also has his own Instagram account, in case you're wondering.) Sure, raising a kid and a puppy are two different experiences, but being maternal seems to be in her nature. For instance, Seyfried talked about her desire to become a mom in a 2015 interview with Marie Claire. At the time, she said, "I need to get on it… I want a child, badly. I’ve been feeling it it for like, two years. I’m not ready, but nobody is ready."
It sounds like that wish finally has come true. Congratulations to these soon-to-be parents.
