Ariana Grande Slayed At The 2016 AMAs

by Olivia Muenter

Ariana Grande is known for working a red carpet in a look that's classic, yet entirely her own. Ariana Grande's 2016 American Music Awards look was no different. Grande wore a black, lacy crop top and white pants that played up her curves and personal style. And, obviously, it was paired with — of course — her classic pony tail. Grande also rocked a simple, sultry makeup look. Overall, the outfit and beauty details were choices that were right up Grande's alley, while still being unique and statement-making on the red carpet.

Although many would probably note that Grande's signature fashion accessory is actually a beauty statement — her ponytail — I would actually argue that her fashion sense is an equally memorable staple. Grande leans toward simple, understated looks with clean lines and subtle sex appeal. And, frankly, it works for her. Grande's style isn't quirky or over the top, but it's still entirely unique to her. Her personal style is a great reminder that you don't always have to wear an in-your-face print or a shocking ensemble to make a fashion statement.

Grande has rocked a spaghetti-strap, curve-hugging number many times before, and this year's AMAs red carpet was no different. While the outfit wasn't necessarily anything shocking, it is so her that it worked perfectly for the occasion.

So gorgeous, right? And definitely reminiscent of past looks.

Grande loves a wide leg pant. And can you blame her?
