Pictures Of The November Supermoon You Can't Miss
Nov. 14's supermoon was quite a sight to behold. While cloudy skies got in the way of some onlookers across the globe, others were able to get some rather remarkable snapshots — ad now pictures of the November supermoon are being shared on every available platform that will certainly take your breath away. The supermoon, which appeared approximately 14 percent bigger and 30 percent brighter than typical, lit up the night sky in a way that it hasn't for a very long time — and won't again for many years to come.
On my way home from the gym last night, I made sure to take about 50 pictures of it, all of which came out disappointingly blurry. Thankfully, though, there are many photographers out there better than I am; as such, I spent the first part of my morning scrolling through Twitter to admire some of the images other stargazers captured. The event was not to be missed, as a moon of this size doesn't happen all that often: This was the largest supermoon since 1948, and it won't come this close to Earth again until 2034, according to NASA. By then, I'll be pushing 50. If that's not the most depressing thought I've had in days... well, actually most of us have probably been having depressing thoughts in recent days, so maybe I'll just stop there.
In any event, if you did happen to miss the November supermoon, or if you just want to check out some killer photos, here's how some people of the Twitter world got to see it.
