This 'Breaking Dawn' Actor Has Marvelous New Role

Sometimes it seems like it would be extremely difficult to leave the acting mold that you have created for yourself when you make the decision to star in a Twilight film (sorry, Robert Pattinson), but thankfully for actor Patrick Brennan, that is simply not the case. Brennan, who appeared in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 as Liam is taking on a new role. After starring in Sons of Anarchy for an extremely short period of time in 2013, Patrick Brennan will play a villain in Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Brennan has just been cast as Marcus Daniels, also known as “Blackout,” who has the ability to suck the energy out of anything around him, according to The Wrap. The actor recently spoke with Marvel.com, sharing his excitement for the role as well as giving us a sneak peek of what to expect.

“This guy, Marcus Daniels, a.k.a. Blackout, was shrouded in darkness, his soul, everything about him was shrouded in darkness until he comes across this Cello player,” Brennan told Marvel.com. “And the music was the only light that came into his soul, and it gave him hope and it gave him some sense of what light was.” The actor also went out to discuss how in a way, he feels that he somewhat relates to his character.

Amy Acker, who is most notably known for her role as Winifred “Fred” Burkle and then the demon Illyria (still crying about that) in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. creator Joss Whedon's former series Angel will be playing Audrey, the cello player who changes Blackout’s life.

New episodes of the show will air on ABC on April 1, and Brennan is expected to have a small role episode 18, Providence, before taking on a larger role the week after.
