Kat Von D's Alchemist Palette Is So Versatile

Months after the first sneak peek was first shown, Kat Von D's Alchemist Palette is finally here. The triangle-shaped product has been kept a secret since the very beginning, but trust me when I say that it was worth the wait. It's something completely different than anything else on the market. What's inside Kat Von D's Alchemist Palette, you ask? The brand new item inside this holographic casing doesn't just do one thing, it does them all.

Odds are you've probably used your bronzer as a blush before or your shadows as highlighters. Well, now there's a formula that can do even more than that. Kat Von D Beauty shared the inside of the Alchemist Palette on its Snapchat, and the contents are something you've never seen before. At first glance, the four pans inside look like duo-chrome highlighters. Technically, they're called Prismatic Transformers that can be layered over eye and lip products or worn alone as highlighters.

That's pretty darn incredible, if you ask me. There's no word on whether these are powders, creams, or a brand new formula all together, but Kat Von D did say that she had been working on it for seven years. Despite the product still being a complete mystery, you can't deny that the colors are gorgeous. Here's what the inside of the palette looks like.

According to the company's Instagram, the Alchemist Palette comes out in December. A limited-quantity was also put out at the Makeup Show in Chicago. I can't wait until more details are released, because this palette truly is one of a kind.

Even the packaging of the palette is completely gorgeous. But if you think that's great, just wait until you see the swatches. They look absolutely gorgeous on their own, so I can't even imagine what they'll look like when paired with shadows.

I might not know exactly what this product is, but I know I need it. Like I said before, the company says that the pans can also be layered over lipsticks as well. Here's what that looks like.

How cool is that? Fingers crossed that this is out in time for the holidays, because this is definitely going on my wish list.
