Adrienne Bailon Just Got Married

Here's a bit of exciting nuptial news to cap your week: Adrienne Bailon is now a happily married woman. Currently the host of The Real, but perhaps better known as one of the former Cheetah Girls stars (#CheetahForever), Bailon has said "I do" to gospel singer Israel Houghton. She confirmed the news to People and told the site,

"I genuinely just feel so blessed and grateful. I’ve honestly never been happier in my entire life. I’ve never felt what I feel right now. I can’t even describe what it is, but it’s such a peace mixed with total excitement."

Bailon and Houghton have officially been together since March of this year, but have been friends and creative partners for the last two years, as Us Weekly reports. The pair's relationship has been a rather bumpy one, though. While they've been friends and collaborators for a long time, their romance began under some stormy conditions. The pair endured grief early on because Houghton had filed for divorce from his ex-wife of 20 years, Meleasa Houghton, only weeks before Bailon publicly entered the picture. While Houghton avowed that his conscience was clear of any perceived wrong-doing, it's been a bit of trek to happiness for the pair.

Luckily, those days seem to be far behind for Bailon and Houghton. The pair had a Parisian-themed wedding shower — which Bailon dutifully documented via her Instagram — to match their affinity for the City of Love, which has been a theme throughout the planning of their wedding. The pair had an intimate ceremony with 70 guests in attendance in Paris. Frankly, this wedding sounds both adorable and amazing. Recently, Bailon's been documenting her newlywed bliss on social media and it's too precious.

It's a very interesting announcement, to be sure, considering it comes right on the heels of another bit of celebrity news. If you recall, Bailon is well-known as Rob Kardashian's ex. As such, the news of the birth of Kardashian's daughter, Dream, happening mere days before Bailon's own announcement feels like quite the overwhelming swell of news on all things Kardashian-related, however peripheral.
