Are Sophie Turner & Joe Jonas Dating?
It appears that Joe Jonas might be, in the words of his former band, "burnin', burnin' up" for the Queen of the North, Game of Thrones' Sophie Turner. Turner and Jonas were photographed looking awfully cozy and couple-y in the audience at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Rotterdam, Netherlands on Sunday, Nov 6. I can't help but 'ship the potential couple, because Turner, 20 and Jonas, 27, sound and look like a truly adorable pair.
The photos from the event show the duo hanging out in the comfy-looking red seats at the Ahoy Rotterdam before the event began. From the dreamy expressions on both their faces, the two look to be in their own little world. The actor and the Jo Bro-turned-DNCE lead vocalist are seated as close together as the venue's setup will allow, while Jonas oh-so-casually has his arm around Turner's shoulders. In one of the images, Turner can be seen smiling at Jonas in a way Game of Thrones fans haven't seen her character, Sansa Stark, smile in a long, long time. It also looks like the pair is sharing a drink of some sort... with one straw. It definitely seems likely that the two are an item, or at least extremely close friends.
According to the UK gossip magazine, The Sun, Turner and Jonas apparently got quite cozy the night before, on Nov. 5, at a pre-show King's of Leon concert that also took place in Rotterdam. An eyewitness reported on the couple's apparent affection for each other, telling the magazine, “He was getting very touchy feely with her in the VIP bar before the show, then kissed her and had his arms wrapped around her while the band were on. Neither of them cared who saw."
If they really are dating, this might just be a match made in heaven. Let's be real, wouldn't Jonas look adorable sitting next to Sansa on the Iron Throne? Or even better (and more realistically), imagine Turner cheering on her man at a DNCE show with BFF and GoT costar, Maisie Williams in tow — I can see it now and I assure you, it is a beautiful sight to see. Jophie 2016, y'all.
