Wonder Woman fans, it is time to start knitting little capes. Gal Gadot is expecting baby number two and she announced the happy news on Instagram on Sunday with a Wonder Woman pun. The photo features Gadot and her husband Yaron Versano, and is captioned, "So excited to share this wonder with you." Awww.
Gadot basically just cemented her role as the coolest superhero actor and mom ever with her flawless announcement. While she was not pictured, Gadot's first child Alma, 5, is no doubt psyched she will be a big sister soon. Having your mom become an iconic superhero and getting a new baby brother or sister in such a short amount of time must feel like Christmas came early for little Alma this year.
News of Gadot's second pregnancy comes just days after the second Wonder Woman trailer dropped. Fans have been freaking out over the trailer and just how perfect Gadot is as Diana Prince, the Amazon Princess. Gadot made her debut as Wonder Woman in Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, and it is safe to say 2016 has been the year of Wonder Woman ever since. Between the upcoming release of her solo movie in 2017 and the happy news that her family is expanding, Gadot has been crazy busy this year. Wonder Woman was also recently named a United Nations Honorary Ambassador for the Empowerment of Women and Girls in honor of the character's 75th anniversary, and Gadot was on hand to celebrate the special event on behalf of her character.
It is clear Gadot takes her role as a superhero very seriously, but she is even more passionate about her family. Gadot has gone from a relative unknown to a superstar in a short span of time, but she is staying grounded and continuing to focus on her beautiful family as her acting career takes off. While 2016 was clearly a good year for Wonder Woman and Gadot, 2017 is going to be a great one. Not only will the movie finally hit theaters (and leave fans even more in awe of Gadot,) but the actor will also bring home her new bundle of joy too. (Is it too much to hope for baby number two to come home in a Wonder Woman onesie?)
