Michael Bublé's 3-Year-Old Son Has Cancer

by Allyson Koerner

In what can only be described as extremely sad news, Michael Bublé's 3-year-old son, Noah, has cancer. The singer announced the heartbreaking news on Facebook Friday in an emotional post, which also states how both he and his wife, Luisana Lopilato, are taking a much-needed break from their careers to focus on their family. The statement reads in its entirety:

We are devastated about the recent cancer diagnosis of our oldest son Noah who is currently undergoing treatment in the US. We have always been very vocal about the importance of family and the love we have for our children. Luisana and I have put our careers on hold in order to devote all our time and attention to helping Noah get well. At this difficult time, we ask only for your prayers and respect for our privacy. We have a long journey in front of us and hope that with the support of family, friends and fans around the world, we will win this battle, God willing.

Bublé and Lopilato are also parents to Elias, who was born in January. According to Argentinian website La Nacion (via The Sun), Noah's cancer diagnosis was reportedly revealed after taking him to the doctor for a suspected case of the mumps.

The 41-year-old crooner loves his family immensely. As he revealed on Loose Women, a British talk show, in October, "I had no idea the perspective it would give me. It’s all I care about. I love them too much probably." He added, "It's made everything else so insignificant, moments that I was afraid of and moments that would overwhelm me have now become a joy because I've realized how not serious they are compared to what is really important, which is Noah and Eli and that's it."

It's unimaginable what both Bublé and Lopilato are dealing with and I'm sure they can use nothing but compassion and support during this difficult time.
